Dr. George Carlo Exposes The Hazards of Wireless Computers

Dr. George Carlo, scientist hired by the cell phone industry to determine the health risks of cell phones, speaks about the dangers of WI-FI, or wireless computer networks, in schools. This is a fascinating phone interview exposing how wireless networks are causing learning disabilities, behavior issues, brain function and focus problems, and more in schools. Carlo notes that children are more susceptible to WI-FI radiation than adults because their bodies and brains are still forming. He says schools become resonant chambers for EMF pollution due to their construction usually being metal-framed walls and ceilings. Teachers are also at great risk since they are in schools every day for years on end. A must-hear interview! Although this focuses on WI-FI in schools, WI-FI networks are now everywhere — in coffee shops, hotels, bookstores (like Barnes and Noble), public libraries, airports, and more.

Carlo is founder of the Science and Public Policy Institute (not to be confused with the conservative think-tank also named the Science and Public Policy Institute and its sub-project, the Safe Wireless Initiative, which seeks to educate the public on the issue of electromagnetic pollution and electrosensitivity.

He is currently dedicating his life and the work of SPPI, SWI and the affiliated organizations to educating clinicians, consultants and health-care practitioners on protocols of intervention to help victims of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) exposure.

Cell Phone Industry’s Own Scientist Warns Against Cell Use

Dr. George Carlo, hired by the cell phone industry to determine if cell phones are damaging to humans, discovered they radically increase the risk of brain and eye cancer. When he attempted to report his findings to the public, the industry tried to shut him up and suppress his findings. Dr. Carlo cites studies showing conclusively that cell phones pose a clear cancer risk. Particularly alarming is the practice of cell companies targeting children, and children’s patterns of use. For example, he notes that children on average use 2600 minutes of cell time per month (86 minutes a day on average), and they often leave their phones on under their pillows next to their head while sleeping. He also cites 30,000 and 50,000 cases of brain and eye cancer are attributable to cell phone use. 1.9 billion people use cell phones worldwide, and it represents an unprecedented public health risk, beyond the costs and damage of cigarettes. If you think cell phones aren’t that bad, think again. Every time you make a call, think of smoking a cigarette. It won’t kill you instantly, but it can do lethal damage.

Gabriel Cousens Speaks About Reversing Diabetes (5 of 10)

Part 5 of a ten-part series filmed at the Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida in January 2008. The first three parts are of Brian Clement, Hippocrates director, sharing his thoughts on natural living while we waited for Gabriel to arrive. Parts four to ten are of Gabriel Cousens, MD, director of the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona talking about how diabetes is a disease of lifestyle, not a product of genetics. Dr. Cousens’ clinical research conclusively demonstrates that diabetes can be reversed and healed by assuming a raw and living vegetarian lifestyle with detoxification.

What Really Causes Cleanse Reactions?

When people do a detoxification or internal cleansing program, very often they will get an increase of disease symptoms or uncomfortable physical reactions (known as a Herxheimer reaction) such as fatigue or exhaustion, irritability, cold or flu symptoms, headaches, skin outbreaks, nightmares, and more. Very often this can discourage or frighten the person new to cleansing who thinks something is wrong and stops the cleanse. Doctors often dismiss the concept of a cleanse reaction as fantasy not based in science. In fact, science has documented what happens in Herxheimer reactions, by Nobel laureates and scientists at very respected universities.

So what causes cleanse reactions? Very simply, your body has two circulatory systems, the blood system, and the lymph system. The blood system’s job is to circulate nutrients to all the cells in the body. The lymph system is designed to remove waste products and toxins. The lymph vessels parallel all of the blood vessels in the body, with the body’s cells sandwiched in between. But unlike the blood system’s heart, there is no pump to circulate lymph. When you take supplements such as herbs, for example, to detoxify the body, the supplements loosen or release toxins and waste products from tissue quickly and in greater quantity than usual. These toxins eventually make it into the lymph vessels and circulate by muscle contraction, deep breathing, movement, and exercise from the tiny capillaries in the extremities back toward larger lymph vessels in the thorax, or body’s center. The lymph vessels have one-way valves throughout that only allow lymph to flow toward the thorax. Along the way, cells in the lymph vessels and nodes called lymphocytes clean the lymph by digesting and transforming toxins to nontoxic compounds. During a cleanse, the cells dump toxins faster than the lymph system can remove them, and so they are dumped back into the blood system and recirculate through the body, giving you cleanse reactions.

By the way, with cancer, the lymph nodes that produce lymphocytes are often overwhelmed with toxins and acid and become cancerous themselves. Standard medical procedure is to remove the lymph nodes. Natural therapies seek to get the lymph flowing and toxins flushed out of the body. Rebounding, jumping on a mini trampoline, and exercise are two ways to get the lymph flowing toward the thorax for elimination. Cancer patients often lack energy and rebounding is easier than other forms of exercise, which is why you see it promoted for health.

Dr. Stephen E. West, son of Nobel nominee Dr. C. Samuel West, has some great videos on lymphology and more at YouTube:

Dr. Seuss and Our Place in the Universe

Tonight I saw the movie Horton Hears a Who, an adaptation of the Dr. Seuss children’s book by the same name. The movie was well done and I enjoyed my foray into childhood memories. In the movie, an elephant named Horton discovers a microscopic civilization called Whoville, existing on a speck of dust. He and the microscopic mayor of Whoville are challenged to convince their respective societies of the existence of each other. An astute observation by Seuss of the human tendency to ridicule and deny new frontiers of knowledge or even other cultures, not surprising since Seuss was a political cartoonist prior to gaining fame for his children’s books. But the movie reminded me of a cool short film made by industrial designers Charles and Ray Eames for IBM in 1977 called The Powers of Ten which shows our relative size in the macroscopic and microscopic universe. The film starts with a one meter square image of a picnic. The camera then moves away overhead 10 times further every 10 seconds, reaching to the edge of the universe. The journey is then reversed, going 10 times closer each ten seconds, ultimately reaching the interior of an atom. Combine that with the concept of the fractal structure of our universe, and we get a little better picture of our place in the universe. (9 minutes)

Raw Recipe: Western Omelet Crackers

Got tired of the raw cracker recipes I’ve been using of late, so I created a new one. This tastes a bit like a western omelet (as I remember them), hence the name. As always, use raw organic ingredients whenever possible. I use an Excalibur ED2900 9-Tray Dehydrator to make these. Enjoy!

—Ken Rohla

Western Omelet Crackers
(Makes 8 or 9 15”x15” dehydrator trays)
1-1/2 cups golden flax
2 cups buckwheat groats, soaked about 8 hours and drained
2 cups truly raw organic almonds, soaked about 8 hours and drained
9 cups water
4 to 6 Anaheim chilies (mild green), seeds removed and finely chopped
1 med yellow onion, finely chopped
4 red bell peppers, finely chopped
2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp Celtic or other unrefined salt

This tastes a bit like a Western Omelets, hence the name. Powder dry flax in a blender until a fine flour. Mix well with 6 cups of water in a large bowl or pot and let sit to thicken. Blend buckwheat groats with 1 cup of water in a food processor until creamy, and pour in a large bowl or pot. Blend almonds with 1 cup of water in a food processor until creamy and add to buckwheat. Beware, most almonds from California now are irradiated, so get truly raw organic almonds. Cut chilies in half lengthwise, remove seeds and stems, and chop finely. Peel onion and chop finely. Remove seeds and stems from red bells and chop finely. You can put all items to be diced/chopped into a food processor and pulse chop. Mix all ingredients including flax and veggies into buckwheat and almond mixture. Add 1 cup of water or so to make a thick batter.

Spread on dehydrator Teflon sheets (Paraflex, aka Teflex) with a spatula to about 3/16-inch thick. Dehydrate at 145 degrees F for about two hours until firm, then flip the crackers onto a regular screen and peel away Paraflex to expose wet side. Dehydrate at 105-110 F on regular dehydrator screen for about another 13 hours until crisp. Break up into smaller pieces to serve.

Raw Recipe: Country Club Italian Dressing

I was in the kitchen wanting a nice restaurant-style raw vegan Italian dressing for an incredibly fresh sunflower sprout salad, so I whipped this up and wrote it down to share. Enjoy! -Ken Rohla

Country Club Italian Dressing

1/2 cup fresh squeezed orgainc lemon juice
1/4 cup Bragg’s raw apple cider vinegar
1 clove of organic garlic
2/3 cup pure water
2/3 cup organic first cold-pressed sunflower or safllower oil
1-1/2 tsp Celtic, Himalayan or other unrefined, unheated whole salt
3 tsp Italian seasoning (I prefer Mountain Rose Herbs or Frontier brands)

Blend everything except Italian seasoning until smooth. Add seasoning and blend for just a few seconds to mix. Best if left for a few hours or overnight to infuse herbs into dressing. Makes about 2 cups.

Brian Clement Introduces Gabriel Cousens at HHI (3 of 10)

My favorite section of Brian Clements’ introduction for Gabriel Cousens is part 3. Brian hits on some very important and enlightened points. He can tell you better that I can so just watch the movie below, but I will elaborate a little from my own feelings. He states that “Everyone has an opinion about everything, but nobody will tell you how they really feel because they might be held responsible.” What a profound expression of truth. It really drives to the core of the lack of authenticity and responsibility in relation to others, ourselves, and the world around us. He talks about how we need to pay more attention to what really matters. I agree with him in stating what really matters is our own feelings.
They shape who we are, what we do, how we communicate, and most importantly how we perceive ourselves. If we do not perceive ourselves in a good light, how can we expect others to do the same. We are all striving one way or another to get to a place where we can be who we truly are. Brian says “That if you are not at that place where you can be who you truly are then at best all your communication is an embellishment, and mostly BS.” I agree with him again. If I had heard that statement a few years ago I would not have believed, let alone understood it. I feel blessed to be able to understand it now, and know that I still have much to unlearn form my past and a long way to go to before I can be who I truly am.

Brian Clement Introduces Gabriel Cousens at HHI (2 of 10)

Brian Clement tells a story of when he met a Buddhist monk at Hippocrates Health Institute. In the story he talks about how the monk’s presence is overwhelming for the room. About how he has to stop his lecture so that the class can be introduced to the monk since all the students were starring at him anyway. I think the most interesting part of the lecture is when Brian talks about how the monk spoke broken English at best, and all the students were straining to try and intellectualize what he was saying. It was at this point that Brian stopped the monk for a moment and told the class to stop trying to process what the monk was saying, but to just feel what he was saying. I find this to be very true in my life. When I spend too much time thinking about something I can get into a state I call paralysis by analysis. When I realize it and can step out into the feeling of the situation, things flow so much better.
